Our next production is the dystopian classic, 1984 by George Orwell.  The script was written by Milton Wayne for the August 27, 1949 episode of NBC University Theatre.

In a world where the government controls history and regulates thought, what hope is there for free will and love?  Set in an alternate future 1984, Winston Smith hopes to find those answers, save the love of his life, and bring down the oppressive regime.

Starring Robert Zaccano, Rebecca Lease, Jonathan Morgan, Keith E. Bowerman, Catherine Tyson-Osif, Duffy Batzer, Mandi Hurley, and Jeff Wasileski as the narrator.  Directed and produced by Keith E. Bowerman with recording and audio engineering by Lindy Mack.

OMPRT Minisode #2: JABBERWOCKY

Our next minisode is a reading by Jeff Wasileski of "Jabberwocky" from Through The Looking Glass, and What Alice Found There by Lewis Carroll, written in 1871.

MEET THE CAST: JEFF WASILESKI

Although new to radio acting, Jeff Wasileski has been performing on stage for about six years.  He appeared at Oyster Mill Playhouse in Superior Donuts (Arthur), The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged (Jeff), Almost, Maine (East), My Three Angels (Joseph), Out of Order (The Waiter) along with Jeeves in Bloom and Jeeves Intervenes (Jeeves). Other productions in the Central Pennsylvania area include R.U.R. (Busman), Red (Mark Rothko), Merry Wives of Windsor (Falstaff), The Seagull (Sorin), Troilus & Cressida (Nestor), The Amish Project (Prof. Bill North), Bill W and Dr. Bob (Dr. Bob), It Runs in the Family (Dr. Mortimore), and Incorruptible (The Abbot).  He lives in Camp Hill, Pa with his wife, Deb, who has worked in several productions as costumer, and has two college-age children, Nick and Maya, both of whom are performers.  He and Deb also share their house with a beagle-basset and the dumbest mini-dachshund on earth.

EPISODE 5: PRIDE AND PREJUDICE

Based on the immortal Jane Austen novel.  Can Elizabeth overcome the error of hasty judgments and find love?  Adapted from the May 28, 1947 episode of THEATRE OF ROMANCE.

OMPRT Minisode 1: LET AMERICA BE AMERICA AGAIN

MEET THE CAST: ASHLEY NICHOLE WALKOWIAK

Ashley Nichole is a lover of the arts. She began studying darkroom and film photography at the age of 13, later pursuing her photography degree. In 2015, she published her first book of poetry and fine art black and white photography with Sunbury Press, and is under contract for another book in 2018. Ashley co-owned and curated a local art gallery, during which time the gallery won Harrisburg Magazine’s Simply the Best Art Gallery.

Ashley is new to the world of radio acting, but is having fun exploring a new piece of the art world and making new connections. A mother to 3 boys, Ashley lives in Mechanicsburg and works in Communications Strategy for the Governor’s Office of Administration.

MEET THE CAST: JONATHAN MORGAN

Ever since he was a child in grade school, Jonathan entertained classmates and neighbors with his vocal sound effects, funny voices, and impersonations of his teachers. Friends and family thought he would someday be famous, but that wasn’t to be. We are happy that Jon is here in Camp Hill doing voices for Oyster Mill Playhouse Radio Theater and not Hollywood making millions.

He can still dream.
