OMPRT Minisode 1: LET AMERICA BE AMERICA AGAIN

MEET THE CAST: ASHLEY NICHOLE WALKOWIAK

Ashley Nichole is a lover of the arts. She began studying darkroom and film photography at the age of 13, later pursuing her photography degree. In 2015, she published her first book of poetry and fine art black and white photography with Sunbury Press, and is under contract for another book in 2018. Ashley co-owned and curated a local art gallery, during which time the gallery won Harrisburg Magazine’s Simply the Best Art Gallery.

Ashley is new to the world of radio acting, but is having fun exploring a new piece of the art world and making new connections. A mother to 3 boys, Ashley lives in Mechanicsburg and works in Communications Strategy for the Governor’s Office of Administration.

MEET THE CAST: JONATHAN MORGAN

Ever since he was a child in grade school, Jonathan entertained classmates and neighbors with his vocal sound effects, funny voices, and impersonations of his teachers. Friends and family thought he would someday be famous, but that wasn’t to be. We are happy that Jon is here in Camp Hill doing voices for Oyster Mill Playhouse Radio Theater and not Hollywood making millions.

He can still dream.

MEET THE CAST: MARTE ENGLE

Marte Engle has the perfect face for radio—which is why she isn’t pictured.  Marte is a local thespian who one day aspires to voice a cartoon character for Disney!  When not acting at her day job, Marte can be found hanging out with her husband, spending time with her superstar nephews, Wyatt & Zander, or having full on conversations with her fur-babies.  Little Miss Poppet (seen in the picture), Mia Heifer, and Naughty Biscotti who all answer in cat-o-nese and in various accents such as Spanish, Cockney, and New York/Bronx.

MEET THE CAST: BOB DAVIS

Bob Davis is a writer, actor, musician, and historian who enjoys theater immensely. He has appeared in and directed productions from the US Virgin Islands to central Pennsylvania. Bob is proud to be a part of the OMP Radio Play cast, and hopes you enjoy the shows.

MEET OUR CAST: MEGAN MCCLAIN

A native of Dauphin, PA, Megan has been a performer since the tender age of 6. She holds an
Associate’s degree in Theatre/Performing Arts from Harrisburg Area Community College and has
performed on stages throughout Central PA. In addition to acting, she received her dance training with the Capital Area Dance Theater, under the direction of Holly Loutzenheiser-Mora and Sandra Carlino as well as the Harrisburg Dance Conservatory, under the direction of Forrest Gehret, Richard Hoskinson, Cherie Noble, David Ogden and Rosemary Battista. She also performed with the Harrisburg Ballet in such ballets as Coppelia, Les Sylphides, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, and Dracula. In addition to her training, she is also a teacher and choreographer in the Central PA area.

Some of her favorite stage roles include Mona in Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean; Essie in You Can’t Take it With You; Francine in The Burning Bed; Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof; and Anita in Wrong Turn at Lungfish, for which she earned a Best Actress Omie.

MEET OUR CAST: PAUL HOOD

Paul Hood is a Playwright/Director from Harrisburg, PA. His plays have featured throughout the tri-state and Central PA regions. Credits as a Playwright include: The Imposter's Snow Cone Machine (Hershey Area Playhouse) The Itch of Gloria Fitch (Produced by Narcisse Theatre Company at Hmac's Capitol Room) and My Electric Life (performed as a workshop production by Theatre of The Seventh Sister in Lancaster, PA.) Directing credits include: Feed us to the Woods a play by Randy Gross (performed as a workshop production at Gamut Theatre's Studio in Harrisburg, Pa.) Superior Donuts by Tracy Letts (Oyster Mill Playhouse) and Topdog/Underdog by Suzan Lori-Parks (Narcisse Theatre Company). Hood is a 1992 graduate of CASA (formerly Harrisburg Arts Magnet School) where he studied media production. He also studied creative writing at Wilkes University.

EPISODE 2: I AM FOSTER BATES

A high-powered young attorney, getting ready for an evening of rough fun in a seedy hotel with a young lady, discovers a corpse in his office closet.  The office janitor happens by at that exact moment, and a carefully built web of lies, deceit, and death rapidly unravels…

Adapted from the stage production by Paul Hood, originally written for the 2013 Lancaster PA 24-Hour Plays, and directed by the author.  This production stars Stephen Hensel, Robert Davis, and Meredith Snook, with narration by Kass McGann.  Original music composed by Lindy Mack.  Produced by Keith E.
